Hi, I'm Tahnee

i'm a family, newborn and maternity photograper based in Brisbane

I capture honest and storytelling imagery for families, newborns, and mothers.

But before all, I’m a partner, and a mum. I have a busy, loveable three year old boy, and a baby girl who has already changed our world in the softest, most extraordinary way. She follows a sister we never got to bring home, a little girl who still holds a piece of our hearts, and quietly reminds me every day just how precious this all is.

That perspective shapes everything I do. Take a moment to get to know me, and if it feels aligned, I’d love to get to know you too.

Motherhood, grounding, and why this work matters

Motherhood has grounded me in a way nothing else ever has. Our days are full of dance parties in the living room, endless laughs, big feelings, and the cuddles that always seem to follow. There’s a baby on my hip or at my chest most days, feeding, settling, discovering the world for the first time, while my toddler pulls me in a hundred directions at once.

There are slow mornings shaped around feeds, toddler negotiations and coffee, and wild afternoons where I’m juggling two little people and trying to be everything at once. I’m right in it; the mess, the noise, the mental load, and the constant pull between staying present and remembering it all.

Motherhood has slowed me, softened me, and clarified what really matters. It’s the reason I’m so drawn to photographing families exactly as they are.

how i found my way here

I’ve always been drawn to beautiful photos...

It just wasn’t until I became a mum that I truly understood why.

It’s not about the perfect frame or the prettiest light, it’s about how a photograph makes you feel. The way it can take you right back. To the early newborn haze, the countless firsts, the small routines that quietly shaped your days, the moments you wish you could stay in forever.

I want to capture the moments you wish you could hold onto, the pinch-me ones, at home, doing nothing special except raising your babies.

Honest, unposed, and wrapped in love.. Just as your life is right now.

Why I love photographing families at home

I believe some of the most meaningful photographs happen when we stop trying to create moments, and simply allow them to unfold.

Homes hold your rhythm. Your routines. Your imperfect, beautiful everyday. When we photograph you at home, or in a calm, considered studio space, there’s no pressure to perform, no racing the sun, no forcing children to cooperate.

Especially with newborns. Babies don’t need anything from us except closeness and calm. When parents can exhale, when everything slows just enough and the connection rises naturally to the surface. That's where the real story lives.

How my sessions feel

Clients often tell me their session felt easier than they expected, and that’s always the goal.

When I walk into your home, I’m not there to rearrange or direct. I’m there to see.

To notice the way your toddler reaches for you. The way connection shows upin laughter and quiet looks. The calm that settles when your baby finally drifts to sleep.

Before your session, I’ll guide you through timing, wardrobe, and how to use the light and spaces in your home so nothing feels overwhelming. During our time together, we move gently and without rush. Babies are fed, cuddled, and settled. Children are allowed to be exactly who they are.

I want you to feel comfortable, present, and completely yourselves, because that’s where the real story lives.

You don’t need a perfect house.

You don’t need perfectly behaved kids.

You don’t need to know what to do.

I’ll guide when it’s helpful, and step back when something honest is unfolding.

Here’s to the beauty in the blur — the slow, the wild, and everything in between.

my style

My work is shaped by the spaces I photograph and the people within them.

My in-home sessions are soft, grounded, and filled with warmth. They are a reflection of the homes and hearts I step into. Think beautiful Queenslander spaces bathed in natural light, earthy tones, and textures that feel lived in and loved.

For maternity, my approach shifts slightly. It's a little more editorial, refined, and powerful.

In the studio, I photograph motherhood as art, looking for strong lines, soft light, oversized tailoring, and confidence that feels both effortless and deeply feminine.

It’s motherhood, reimagined. Still tender, but undeniably strong.

beyond the lens

When I’m not photographing, you’ll usually find me with a coffee in hand, or a glass of wine if the day’s been long. More often than not, there’s still a camera nearby, snapping photos of my own kids and sitting in that constant tug of war between wanting to stay present and wanting to remember everything. I’m often picking herbs from our veggie garden, playing with my kids, or hosting friends sharing my love of great food.

I adore flowers, love chocolate in excess, and crave conversations that go a little deeper - motherhood, life, the messy in-between. I’m a night owl, a deep thinker, an over-sharer, and fiercely competitive when it comes to board games. I feel most myself near the water, singing along to music, watching sport, or cheering on our very confident, very bossy little boy, my mini-me in the making.

Motherhood has taught me to slow down. To notice the small things and to find joy in the simplest moments, and contentment in the chaos. That’s what I hope my work brings you too, a gentle reminder of just how beautiful your everyday really is.

If this season feels full and fleeting. If you’re holding onto time with both hands. If you want photographs that honour the love, the loss, the chaos, and the quiet. I'd be honoured to document it for you.
